A due anni di distanza dall¹ultima
produzione, il nuovo progetto di
Javier
Girotto e
Aires Tango. Dall¹incontro del leader argentino con il
fotografo
Giancarlo Ceraudo nasce l¹idea di commentare musicalmente
le splendide
immagini frutto di un reportage fotografico. Rimangono
inalterate le
melodie
scritte da Girotto che sono
eseguite magistralmente dai quattro
componenti
del
gruppo. I ritmi e il timbro della loro musica ci trasporta in questo
viaggio ideale in Argentina, passando per le improvvisazioni che
rendono
questa formazione davvero speciale nell¹abbracciare contesti
così
diversi,
riuscendo a fonderli in una
caleidoscopica girandola di
emozioni.
AIRES
TANGO
Dieci anni di concerti, un numero sempre crescente
di estimatori e
appassionati, oltre a 8 cd ed alcune colonne sonore
per il cinema e il
teatro. Aires Tango allinea alcuni dei migliori
musicisti italiani e
continua a stupire per la freschezza
compositiva e per il calore dei
concerti, sempre
trascinanti.
Il gruppo si costituisce nel 1994 su impulso del
sassofonista e
compositore
argentino Javier Girotto che
chiama con sé Alessandro Gwis al pianoforte
e
per la
sezione ritmica Marco Siniscalco al basso elettrico e Michele
Rabbia
alle percussioni. Partendo dalla musica di Astor Piazzolla,
gli Aires
Tango
approdano ad un repertorio originale in
progressiva evoluzione sia per la
vocazione all'improvvisazione sia
per il continuo rinnovo delle fonti di
ispirazione.
I
tratti della melodia tangueira e dell'improvvisazione jazzistica si
fondono in una sorta di "tango trattato" dalle caratteristiche
spiccatamente
latine nelle melodie e nei ritmi, ma meno vincolato
dai canoni del tango
tradizionale e dunque aperto alla libertà
interpretativa del jazz. In
questo
modo gli Aires Tango
raggiungono una grande libertà espressiva nella
quale
gli echi del passato si fondono con la necessità di un linguaggio
più
moderno.
Malvinas il loro primo lavoro discografico
esce nel '96; seguono Madres
del
'97 realizzato con un
quartetto d'archi e il fisarmonicista Antonello
Salis.
A
questi seguiranno Poemas, Cronologia del '900, Origenes, En Vivo e,
nel
2002, Aniversario registrato a Sofia con la Bulgarian Symphony
Orchestra
con
arrangiamenti e direzione di Paolo
Silvestri.
