Il 24 marzo 2003 ricorrono 27 anni dal golpe militare in Argentina, che ha dato inizio all¹orrore: 30.000 desaparecidos, 15.000 morti, decine di migliaia di esiliati ed una politica di degradazione politica, economica e culturale che mai, prima d¹allora, l¹Argentina aveva conosciuto. E si rimane attoniti pensando che queste atrocità hanno avuto origine in società economicamente e culturalmente progredite, le cosiddette società ³occidentali e cristiane². Per questo è importante non dimenticare perché purtroppo ³quello che è accaduto una volta può tornare ad accadere² (Primo Levi). Con questa serata vogliamo tenere viva la memoria dei crimini contro l¹umanità.
Il 27 marzo 2003 è stata pronunciata dalla Prima Corte d¹Assise di Appello di Ro la II sentenza contro i militari argentini. Conferma in tutto e per tutto le condanne inflitte nel primo processo tenutosi nel 2000. Processo storico per la scomparsa di 8 italiani ³desaparecidos² durante la dittatura militare in argentina, tra 1976 e 1983, conclusosi il 6 dicembre 2000 con la condanna all¹ergastolo di due generali e a 25 anni altri 5 militari.
